SafeMetrix at the Nautical Institute Seminar – Post Event

We are pleased to announce that Dr Luiza Shahbazyan has participated in the latest Nautical Institute Seminar titled: “Psychometric assessments for seafarers – Benefits & Drawbacks”. The event took place on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the premises of Intership Navigation Co Ltd, in Limassol, Cyprus.

The seminar attracted an engaged audience consisting of various industry professionals, who witnessed a very interesting and productive panel discussion where Dr Luiza Shahbazyan and the representatives of Seagull (Mr Torger Tau) and CEOSAN (Ms. Mariangela Zanaki) discussed the topic of Psychometric Assessments in the maritime industry.

Dr Luiza Shahbazyan has also shared the details of the project (ENTERPRISES/0916/0028), aimed at translating the SafeMetrix MET-3S assessment in Tagalog and Greek languages, as well as enhance the platform hosting the assessment. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus through the Research Promotion Foundation and is due to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2019.

We would like to thank the Nautical Institute for organizing this event and Intership Navigation for hosting it and look forward to participating in the future seminars.
In conjunction with the seminar, SafeMetrix has also released a white paper on measuring the psychology behind good performance onboard using psychometric assessments.
